December 12th Olivet to Milly-la-Foret
This morning the sky was blue, not a cloud and a weak but golden sun was shining down on us through the nude trees. Ze left our spot in the gravel and headed back towards Orleans, from that direction the camp-ground sign said "fermez". We didn't have to go into Orleans itself but managed to find signs heading us off towards Milly quite early in the piece. It was cold in the shade despite the sunshine, we stopped at a small village somewhere where we saw a laundromat, and did 18kg of washing and drying. It was remarkably quick, so we didn't have to waste a lot of time, instead drank coffee at a cafe and played only 2 games of bananagrams (a bit like scrabble).we phoned Jackie and arranged to meet at milly la foret later that afternoon, but first we drove via a campground we where considering staying at,but after finding our way through tiny country lanes to a very remote spot that was cold and shaded and twenty kms short of milly, so instead we headed to milly arriving late afternoon. We bad a cup of tea and a catch up before parking on the roadside in the village shelteeed under trees.
