Our Eurostar train with wire holding on the front bumper after we hit a roe deer at pace in north western France.
The arrivals board in London, we were on the train which "hit an animal in France"
Waiting at North Finchley station headed for the city for the day
We started at the science museum where we were intrigued by the space exhibits initially.
Later we found some great models
Then some more space stuff. This is one of the Apollo capsules after it has been to space with astronauts in small cabin
There was a research programme going on which we had seen on the news at Yvonne's. It was a programme taking multiple photos to create three dimensional images/digital models of our faces. The purpose is to establish a "bank" of images that can be used in the future for reconstructive plastic surgery for people with facial trauma. One day there may be another me wandering the streets of the world.
While the others kept looking and doing hands-on things in the kids area I walked across the road to have a quick squizz at The Victoria and Albert Museum.
This is an interesting "sculpture" hanging from the roof at the V & A, it is made from dozens of balloons.
Some of the exhibits from the fashion/theatre area, these are a few of the costumes from the stage version of the Lion King.
Learning about propulsion and wind direction at the learning centre at the Science Museum
A pretty underground station
Theatre near Soho
Telephone booths behind Trafalgar Square
St Clement Danes airforce chapel.
Book of "the fallen" airforce personnel open to Uncle Alan's name
We walked along from Trafalgar Square to The tower of London. Hilary and Di went to the Tower for a look around and to learn some gory history, meanwhile I walked along the banks of the Thames in the diminishing light.
The Stables Markets, Camden
Hamley's toy shop and butterfly decoration
All dressed up with no place to go!!
