Murcia - Day 2

We biked into Murcia again, we passed these blokes all fishing in the river, not sure i would eat anything that was caught from here, but there were plenty of them so it must be OK.

Our first stop was a science and water museum very low ket, but interesting enough and quite a few hands on things for us all to play with.

Enjoying a drink and toasted cheese and ham sandwich.

Just by the cafe they use orange trees here a lot for shade, very nice to see the oranges all hanging in the trees, I imagine when the blossom is out it would be delicious too.

We went to the Salzillo Museum in the Iglesia de Jesus where 9 of his pasos (sculptures on platforms) are on display. They use these for street parades at Easter time. They are life sized and sculptured from wood. They are from 1700's and in spectacular condition. There were also multiple little models again stunningly beautiful. I didn't realise that I wasn't supposed ot take photos, but fortunately only found out when told at the end of our look around.

Date palms with fat dates ripening in the sun

In the afternoon we went to the artesan's market, which was a bit more formal than I expected but some lovely work for sale. We bought a nice tile.
