I also bought some things for the camper like hoses to fill the water tanks (I did it with a watering can the other day, very laborious) and a power flex for electrical hook up. I still can't get the fridge going, I'll have to ask someone when we find some other campervanners. It must be something simple, the gas is on, I follow the instructions, it seems to light (the ignition switch stops flashing and there is a whoofing sound of gas lighting, but it doesn't get cold.... in fact it gets warm because the light is on???) I can't work out what the Frenchman did that I can't, the answer will be in that last sentence he said, as he gesticulated a turning motion that I couldn't translate I thought it was something to do with not trying to use the gas for the fridge and cooking at the same time??? who knows?.
So after I did my chores we had lunch before heading out with Yvonne (in her car, me driving, because she didn't want to) to Kenwood House.

We had been there seven years ago when Hilary was a toddler, she had no recollection of course, but Diana and I did, of the pouring rain and getting lost on Hamstead Heath.
Our visit was reasonably brief, a couple of hours and that included afternoon tea in the sun at the cafe.
After dinner I went for a quick walk in the woods before setting up camp fox watching.
